Welcome to A New Sun Rises! We're a small community of friends and acquaintances who, in the face of the further centralization perpetuated by companies like Meta, Google, Facebook, X, and Discord, have instead chosen sovereignty, self-hosting, and decentralization.

Deep technical knowledge is not required to participated in our community, insofar as we will do our best to provide access to tools and guides to help you get started. That said, many of these decentralized tools are more complex to use than things such as Discord. These tools are often built by volunteer open-source developers, and may or may not have financial support from companies and enthusiasts that use their tools.

All services made available at A New Sun Rises are self-hosted as much as possible, usually by Malpercio, and at a residential location in the Eastern United States. We are committed to providing high-quality and reliable services, however we cannot guarantee uptime or availability.

At this time, account creation on all services is limited and invite-only. You can reach out to Malpercio or any member of the community you know to petition for membership.
